

About GRITS
Green and Resilient Infrastructure Technical Skills
For ages 15-18
GRITS is an extracurricular program created to provide high school students with hands-on training in STEM skills that are integral to coastal conservation. Each module taught throughout the program will focus on a new skill that is sought after in STEM careers.
These modules include:
- Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS-drone) operation
- Watercraft operation
- Navigation and mapping
- Basic electrical systems & soldering
- Nursery methods and planting techniques
- Data analysis, interpretation, project design, and permitting

Flying a Drone

Boating

Fish Sampling

GPS Surveying

Soldering

FIsh, Plant, and Bird Identification
