Trends in Oyster Health, Predation Mitigation Techniques, and Concerns Identified by Oyster Practitioners

About the Project
Surveys have been a helpful tool for researchers to access knowledge within stakeholder communities surrounding environmental issues. Oyster farming and harvesting in coastal Mississippi and Alabama have experienced issues with oyster loss due to disease, changes in salinity, and predation. The primary purpose of this study is to survey oyster practitioners in order to uncover what threats to oysters are of the utmost concern. This survey will also allow practitioners a chance to disclose how they are successfully mitigating these issues, if they are.
