  2. Photo – After their trip, anglers take a picture of the back of the completed card.
  3. Text – Anglers text the photo to the number on the card so the information can aid fisheries scientists and management agencies in improving recreational discard data.

Traditional catch cards are often returned by mail, which can delay access to fisheries data.
